Mark & Erin (Oakland)
Mark & Erin bought a home in Oakland. With two kids and many instruments between these Cal marching band alums (Go Bears!), they desperately needed more space. A few weeks of searching led them to a spacious 4 bed, 3 bath home in the Oakland hills. And the house also had an amazing backyard with a pool! Congrats Mark & Erin! We are so excited for the many water-filled memories you will be making in this home.
Blaine & Kari (Alameda)
Blaine & Kari bought two homes (on one lot) in Alameda. One home they will live in and the other is rented to a lovely couple next door. What a great investment for our clients! They bought at a great price in a city with a steady rental market, great weather, walkability and top schools. Our clients are going to enjoy their new homes on the island of Alameda. We were so happy to sip wine from Rockwall winery with them to celebrate...
Sara & Sean (Oakland)
1 year ago, Sara and Sean bought a home in Oakland. Looking back it's funny that we thought the market was "crazy" then... If we only knew what it was going to turn into! What was crazy, was two very pregnant ladies (Katy and Sara) running around looking at every home that came onto the market. Just look at those bellies! Sara honed in on a home in Montclair that had been sitting for over 25 days. We wrote and presented the offer to an out-of-area agent. With some negotiating, Sara and Sean landed this home at a great price. It is hard to believe that they are celebrating their 1 year anniversary of being in their new home. Pretty soon that little baby will be 1 too.. How time flies!
Brianna & Carlos (Walnut Creek)
Carlos & Brianna bought a home in Walnut Creek. Coming from the South Bay, this couple wanted to find more space and a place to plant the roots of their growing family. Brianna wanted a friendly neighborhood feel. Carlos, an avid cyclist, wanted to be near great roads and hills (cue Mt. Diablo). With Brianna’s due date nearing, they found Tera Court. A three bedroom home with vaulted ceilings, top of the line updates and a gracious deck overlooking a landscaped back yard. What a great place to raise their daughter!.
Brian & Melissa (Oakland)
Brian & Melissa bought a home in Oakland. They had been renting in a neighborhood that they loved, near Piedmont Avenue. Suddenly, they were informed by their landlord that he was going to be moving back to the home they were renting. In a rental market as competitive as this one, Brian and Melissa felt uneasy about where they were going to end up. They wanted to explore the option of buying as well as renting. So, off we went. With a new baby, they wanted to be in a safe neighborhood, fit for family walks. Also high on their list was "walkability." We landed them in Temescal a friendly, safe, walkable neighborhood of Oakland. Happy birthday Henry!!
Barron & Tiffany (Piedmont)
Barron & Tiffany bought a home in Piedmont. We began their search through the tunnel, with a focus on Orinda. They were drawn to the schools, weather and rich community. Actually, they had an offer accepted on a home in Orinda, but when we had our inspector to the home he found a few items that were deal breakers... so Barron & Tiffany decided to move on. We had always had our eye on Piedmont, but there was a shortage of homes available. Then, this one came onto the MLS. It was in upper Piedmont, had great light and was in great shape. Even further, Piedmont offered them the schools, weather and rich community they were drawn to in Orinda. Plus, it was a shorter commute for both of them to work and their extended family to visit. I can say this for certain, our clients always end up where they are supposed to be.
Jeran & Bonnie (Oakland)
Bonnie & Jeran bought a home in Oakland, CA. It is perfect for the both of them. Bonnie still teases that she was willing to buy any of the houses I took them to see. Jeran used a more conservative eye throughout the process. Bonnie got tired of falling in love with homes and letting them go. So, when this house went up for sale I had to beg her to come to see it. I had a gut feeling it would meet their needs. It does. This Montclair home was rebuilt in 1992 after the Oakland fire. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it is walking distance to the Village and is within one of the great Oakland Unified elementary school boundaries. Because the home has new bones, Jeran and Bonnie have been able to tackle some of the cosmetic features of the home that were not to their tastes. As we come up to it being a year since their move-in date, they already have a new kitchen, bathroom and a lot less ivy!
Emily & Dan (Oakland)
Dan & Emily bought a home in Oakland, CA. This celebration has been long in the making and definitely worth the wait. They wrote offers on 6 other homes in the East Bay area, always seeming to come in 2nd place. At times they felt like they would be stuck in their apartment forever! As their realtor, I encouraged them to stay positive. We all believed the stars would align when the house was meant to be; this house is meant to be. Their new home is a fixer in the Redwood Heights neighborhood of Oakland. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a little TLC is needed to make it shine to its potential. It is a project, but a project they are looking forward to getting started. Dan & Emily have creative blood and fabulous design taste. I look forward to watching them transform this house to their home.
Brian & Katie (Orinda)
Brian and Katie bought a house in Orinda. Moving from the Oakland Hills was going to be a big change for them (emotionally), but their current house didn’t have a yard for their growing family to run amuck. With two young ones and “maybe a third,” a level lot accessible directly from the kitchen was this family's number one priority. We'd been looking on and off for almost a year when I called Katie’s cell phone and said “ You have to see this house.”
